Sorry, I'm a little late this month. That's two in a row — I suppose that makes it a trend. I've been continuing to work on season two of Snap Out of It! The Mental Illness in the Workplace Podcast. Podcasts take more effort that one might imagine.

"No matter how rare an illness is — it's REAL. People with rare illnesses often aren't taken seriously because others haven't heard of their illness. This can even happen with medical professionals who say, "You can't have that; it's too rare."

But believe me, people, even young people, even beautiful people, even successful people, even anyone, can get a rare illness. We deserve the same compassion and empathy as anyone with an illness.

Your understanding of an illness is not required for it to be real."
