New Podcast Appearance I was honored to appear on the Wellness Podcast, hosted by Jack Hodgins. This podcast delves into the most pressing topics around health, talking with leading experts and those with lived experience. In this episode, I talked about my book, Lost Marbles, as well as how bipolar impacted me as a young person, why
those with bipolar disorder sometimes self-harm, how family members can support those who self-harm, the advances in medicine for bipolar disorder, the difficulty in finding the right medication, and how finding stability has improved my life. Check out
this podcast appearance here. What You May Have Missed Here are some new articles you might have missed from the Bipolar Burble and Breaking Bipolar blogs: The Archives |
Insta-Instagram July 3, 2023 "When I say bipolar disorder is not a personality issue, I'm not
talking about a personality disorder (although it's not a personality disorder, either). I'm talking about the fact that bipolar disorder isn't about the innate you that you are. It's not a problem with you; it's a problem with your brain. You own your personality, bipolar disorder does not. Your unique self, the one that likes to skydive or hates country music, that's you. That's your personality. Bipolar doesn't have its clutches on that." July's Final Words That's it for now,
folks; I'll catch up with you again next month (promise). I'd like to leave you with a magical quote about July: “My life, I realize suddenly, is July. Childhood is June, and old age is August, but here it is, July, and my life, this year, is July inside of July.” — Rick Bass
