The World Health Organization (WHO) is the one who leads the charge on World Mental Health Day and they determined that this year's theme was mental health as a universal human right. But what the WHO fails to address is people with serious mental illness who don't seek treatment, specifically, those with anosognosia (a clinical lack of insight). If we say that mental health is a universal human right, how do we ensure these people enjoy this right too? 

This bring about the question of treatment without consent, which is a major issue in the mental health community. It's no surprise to those who know me where I land on this issue. Read all about it here.
