Hire Me to Speak at Your Next Event
I've had the pleasure of speaking to audiences for many years. I've spoken at conferences, corporate events, and high schools down the street. I love it every time.
I've now produced two new talks focusing on the intersection between mental health and
AI. This makes use of my computer science degree along with my in-depth knowledge of mental health:
Mental Health with AI: Tools for a Healthier Work-Life Balance — This talk covers practical strategies for integrating artificial intelligence (AI) tools into daily routines, maintaining privacy and data security, and staying ahead of future AI
trends that support mental wellbeing.
All the details about my talks and why you should hire me for your next event
can be found here.

What You May Have Missed
There has been a great reduction in writing output while other things come to the fore. But don't worry, I wouldn't leave you hanging completely.
When You Have No Mental Health — Things have been pretty difficult around here lately. In fact, it's so hard that it feels like I have no mental health at all. That's why I decided to write about it.
Conquering Self-Stigma —
There is so much stigma floating around about bipolar disorder that it's not surprising when some of it sinks right into us. This forms self-stigma — wherein we feel bad about ourselves for having bipolar disorder. While I consider this experience very normal, I also don't think we have to live with it.
One from the archive:
People Who Attempt Suicide Do Not Want to Die — September was National Suicide Prevention Month, and so it's the perfect time to remind people that those who are suicidal don't truly want to die — they want their pain to end. This is how we can help them.
Update — 'Bipolar Rules! Hacks to Live Successfully with Bipolar Disorder'
Due to personal and career circumstances, I can't reasonably get this book out before the Christmas season hits. This means I need to
push the publication date to early next year.
To all those of you who are sticking with me, I appreciate it greatly. I realize this is a disappointment — for me, too. But I know that by putting off the publication, I get produce the book that you all deserve.
You can still subscribe hereto stay in the loop about the launch and enter to win a free copy.
This will happen. Life is just getting in the way right now.

"I've seen this said of people with other types of chronic illness, but it's true of those with a mental illness, too. I can attest to
the fact that I've spent plenty of time wondering why the hell I got bipolar. What the hell went wrong with my brain to manifest like this?
I think this idea also reminds us that inside everyone with a mental illness is a person like everyone else — and anyone could be in the position of something being wrong with their brain. The me that existed before bipolar is still in there, very confused indeed. And anyone could find themselves confused in the same way.
We are just like you,
and you could be us if dealt a different hand."
I create (and comment on) a lot of interesting work on Instagram, in addition to Facebook, X, YouTube, and Threads. I'm posting interesting quotes, images, and quirky things from my life. I hope you'll join me.
September's Final Words
Chaos still reigns in my home, but I'm hoping your fall is off to a better start. I will be back next month,
no matter what, though. Until then, here is a pleasant thought that I really hope is true:
“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”
