Your Bipolar Toolbox: The Insights and Tips You Need Here are a few things to ponder this month: The Archives
Bipolar Rules! Book Update
Every week, I look at the number of pages of this new book, Bipolar Rules! Hacks to Live Successfully with Bipolar Disorder, I have written, and I think to myself, "I'm almost there." I'm almost there. Except, almost isn't there. I feel like I'm in one of those dreams where you run and run and never actually reach the finish line. Yes, writing a book is like that. It's like that up until the last word is typed. (Then, of course, there's still editing, layout, proofing, etc.) But, I promise, progress is being
made every day. Learn more about the book here. While you're there, make sure to sign up for the Bipolar Rules! mailing list. It's exclusive to the book, and being on it will enter you to win your very own autographed copy! I'm so honored to have all of you with me on my journey to get this new work out. For those of you keeping score, the draft is about 210 pages long, with pages added every day. More about how things are going next month.
I'm Now on BlueSky! Exciting news — I’m now on Bluesky! If you’re there, I’d love to connect. Let’s keep the conversation going. Follow me here → Bluesky. You can also find me on:

Happiness Is Unsustainable
February 13, 2025 "With bipolar, we often focus on happiness as the end goal. And I love happiness. It's something I hope we all experience. But the real
goals should be stability and contentment. Those are long-standing states we can maintain and enjoy. Just happiness isn't realistic. We all need to experience sadness, grief, confusion, and everything else.
Treating depression and mania is critical. But the goal of doing so needs to be realistic and keep us going in the long run."
February's Final Words February always feels like the thick of winter. We often get our only snow of the winter in February. It's
cold and can be dreary. But don't worry, spring is on the way. “While it is February, one can taste the full joys of anticipation. Spring stands at the gate with her finger on the latch.” — Patience Strong
As for March, keep in mind:
