Major Depressive Disorder Clinical Trial Enrolling Now
I realize many of us have bipolar disorder and this is for those with major depressive disorder, but I’m hoping if you’re not a candidate, you may know someone who is.
If you have major depressive disorder (MDD) and are currently in a depressive episode, you may be a match for this clinical trial that is researching a new investigational drug that is taken alongside your existing antidepressant medication.
The initial requirements to be a part of this study are:
- To be 18 to 65 years of age
- To have been diagnosed with recurrent MDD
- To be in a current major depressive episode for at least the last eight weeks
- To have experienced unsatisfactory improvement in your symptoms of depression with your current treatment
If you meet these requirements, follow this link for full screening information.
If you have questions or concerns, ask in the comments here.
What You May Have Missed
Here are some latest articles you may have missed.
- Bipolar Complaints — How to Complain About Bipolar Without Being a Bother -- Venting, ranting, and yes, complaining, can be healthy. Here's how to do it in the right
way.
- Bipolar — I Lied; I Don’t Have Good Days and Bad Days -- When people ask me how I am, I often say I have "good days and bad days." This is just something people say. It makes others feel better. But
is it true?
- Bipolar — What Does ‘I’m Sick’ Mean? -- Because I have so much going on with my health, saying "I'm sick," doesn't really mean what it means for your average person. Here's what I mean.
- Bipolar, Depression and Diet — The Evidence -- There's been little evidence that any diet will help with bipolar disorder. What does the evidence say now?
- You Can Be Whatever You Want to Be? I Don’t Think So (and Neither Does Bipolar) -- I hate it when people say "You can be anything you want to be." This
is just nonsense.
- Bipolar Doesn't Make You Unworthy of Love -- Sometimes I feel unworthy of love because of bipolar disorder, I admit it, but this doesn't make it true.
- Bipolar Quality of Life Between Episodes (During Euthymia) -- Quality of life during a bipolar episode is compromised, sure, but what is quality of life like
between episodes? What does the science say?
- Why Rose-Colored Glasses Don't Help Mental Illness -- Some people are prone to looking at life in an unrealistically positive light. This is not me.
