Online Mental Health Speaking Event Now Available
I am pleased to announce a new endeavor. I'm now going to be offering live, online, mental health speaking events (webinars) through Zoom. In this new world in which we are living, this seems like a great way to deliver the information that you need and want.
My first event is entitled: Get Real 1: What You Need to Understand About a Bipolar Disorder Diagnosis.
This talk is perfect for people who want to know what it's really like to live with bipolar disorder. The audience for this talk is people with bipolar disorder, yes, but also loved ones. If you are having trouble making a loved one understand your diagnosis, get them to watch this talk.
- Date: Saturday, June 13th
- Time: Noon Eastern Time (9:00 a.m. Pacific)
- Length: 90 minutes
- Price: Early-Bird Tickets: $30, After May 24th, $40.
I will be scheduling other live, online speaking events in the coming weeks. They will all be listed on my website.
COVID-19 Pandemic and Your Mental Health Articles
Many of us are struggling with the world as adjusted for a pandemic. I, personally, am having lots of anxiety and sleep problems because of it. Here is what I've written on the COVID-19 pandemic and mental health so far:
What You May Have Missed
I've been mostly writing about the pandemic and mental health, of course (you can see those above), but there are a few other things you might want to check out, too:

"This is a hard time. This is a really hard time. But if you're still here, you're making it through. Day by day we're surviving together. I'm proud of you."
'Lost Marbles' Reviews
I'm pleased to say I now have 206 reviews between GoodReads and Amazon. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to write their thoughts. The average review is about 4.5 stars out of 5!
Here is a 5-star review by Robert Tanner on Amazon (in the UK):
Highly Recommended for Sufferers and Carers "I am 62, and this is the first book to accurately describe the condition which I have endured most of my adult life. - a condition which has blighted not only my life, but also that of my family. Anyone who gets the impression that being bipolar is somehow "cool" because many celebrities claim to suffer from it should read this book - it would soon dispel their misconceptions . . . reading this book
has made me realise I am not alone in my suffering. This book is easy to read and should be required reading for all those involved in the care of people with bipolar disorder and depression!"
If you've had a chance to read Lost Marbles, I would love it if you would leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads. Thanks, I appreciate it.
May's Final Words
That's it for now folks; I'll catch up with you again in June. Stay well. Wash your hands and stay home if you can. Here's a quote for you that made me smile, I hope it does the same for you:
"Then you have to remember to be thankful; but in May one simply can't help being thankful . . . that they are alive, if for nothing else. I feel exactly as Eve must have felt in the garden of Eden before the trouble began."
-- L. M. Montgomery, Anne of Avonlea
