WEGO Health Award Celebration
In October, I was honored to receive a WEGO Health Award in Vegas. I'd just like to thank WEGO Health and the HLTH Conference for flying me out there to accept that award. While I was there, I had the opportunity to meet the most amazing health advocates. Learn about the other award-winners here.

Holiday Survival Articles
Yup, it's the holidays and the holidays can be really hard on people. I've written a lot about this over the years. Here are some articles that will help you get through this time, whether it's the most wonderful time of the year or not.
- The Best Mental Health-Improving Gifts -- Okay, I admit, this isn't about traditional holiday survival, but I promise, these gifts can help you and those around you during the holidays.
- A Guide for Bipolar Stability Over the Holidays -- Here's what you need to know about being stable through a time that just begs to wreck your mood.
- Handling an Unhappy Holiday Season -- As much as I would love to think that we're all having a great holiday, this just isn't true. Learn about handling this reality here.
- Even Good Things Can Cause Bad Bipolar Symptoms -- I know this can be a great time of year for some people. That's great, but don't expect your bipolar to necessarily act accordingly.
- What to Do When You Can't Feel Thankful Over the Holidays -- Holidays are a time of thanks -- theoretically. Sometimes you just can't feel thankful no matter what. Here's what to do if that is you.
- Holidays Without Family -- Mental Health and Not Spending the Holidays with Family -- For many, the holidays are all about family, and that's okay, but we don't all have that. In fact, sometimes holidays without family
can be great.
- Good and Bad New Years Resolutions When You Have Bipolar Disorder -- Many people like to make New Years resolutions, and that's okay, but avoid resolutions that can sabotage your new year.

'Lost Marbles' Reviews
I'm pleased to say I now have 167 reviews between GoodReads and Amazon. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to write their thoughts. The average review is about 4.5 stars out of 5!
"I order quite a few books, but have never reviews them. I wish when I was diagnosed 15 years ago with Bipolar 1- this book would have been there for me . . . This book is the most comprehensive information on a disorder that I can only compare to hell. For anyone just diagnosed- this should be the first book you read prior to Kay Redfield Jamison; they should be 1st and 2nd in your bookcase . . . Natasha deserves all
awards she has won. Many times I have internalized questions- maybe inappropriate- she makes me understand I am not alone with my thoughts. If you, a family member or Medical student, in psychiatry or not . . . this book rates right up there with An Unquiet Mind . . . Thank you - you have helped me 3 fold!!!"
If you've had a chance to read Lost Marbles, I would love it if you would leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads. Thanks, I appreciate it.
December's Final Words
That's it for now folks; I'll catch up with you again next year. Enjoy the season in whatever way makes sense for you. Here's to a happy holiday and a very stable New Year.
"In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer."
-- Albert Camus
