Here are a some things you might have missed from Bipolar Burble and Breaking Bipolar:

"The idea that you can't love others until you love yourself is the biggest load of bollocks. It seems to me that it serves to beat people down who are already plenty down, thank you very much. Telling people that they can't love others when they are already hurting in their own psyche does not help anyone and isn't remotely true. Loving ourselves is a critical goal, but it's not all that there is, and it's not a requirement to being
a loving person to others.
"I have always been a loving person. I can't say I've always loved myself. And there are many more like me out there. Don't write people off because of some trite saying that has no basis in fact. And if this is you, don't buy into this malarkey. You are an innately lovable and loving person. You will discover this in your own time."
'Lost Marbles' Reviews
I'm pleased to say I now have 222 reviews/ratings between GoodReads and Amazon. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to write their thoughts. The average review is about 4.5 stars out of 5!
"A book not only for those suffering form mental health challenges but also for anyone else who wants a better understanding of bipolar disorder. As a person also living with bipolar disorder this book gave me an insight into someone else's journey. A brave account of one woman's struggle. A five star read. ***** Brooke O'Neill (author of spiders, vampires and jail keys)"
If you've had a chance to read Lost Marbles, I would love it if you would leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads. Thanks, I appreciate it.
August's Final Words
That's it for now folks; I'll catch up with you again in September. Wash your hands. Wear a mask. Stay home if you can. Remember, the pandemic is not over and, indeed, is getting worse in some places. I know we're all tired of the measures needed to keep up safety, but we need to stay vigilant to stay well and protect everyone around us because that's what really
matters.
Here's an August quote for you today. I'm feeling the heat, are you?
“The month of August had turned into a griddle where the days just lay there and sizzled.”
