Handling Anger, Aggression and Rage in Bipolar
One of the concerns people talk to me about constantly is anger. Those who love people with bipolar disorder and those with bipolar disorder themselves are often all-too-aware that anger, aggression and rage can be parts of the illness. This masterclass features real talk about anger, aggression and rage in bipolar disorder and how to handle it.
This masterclass is 90 minutes long, is delivered via Zoom and has time allotted for live Q and A.
How to Have Difficult Mental Health Conversations
Talking to a person with a mental illness or talking about mental illness with a person who doesn't have one can be tough. That's why this masterclass was created. Attend this masterclass for real talk on how to go about these conversations. When you leave this online masterclass you'll be able to tackle these conversations with new tools and enjoy more successful outcomes.
This masterclass is 90 minutes long, is delivered via Zoom and has time allotted for live Q and A.
How to Treat Treatment-Resistant Depression in Bipolar
While bipolar treatment often levels off the highs, it sometimes fails to touch the lows.If you're having trouble with bipolar depression, this masterclass is for you. This masterclass will help you evaluate your options and make evidence-based decisions.

What You May Have Missed
Here are a some things you might have missed from Bipolar Burble and Breaking Bipolar:
- Depression and Being Judged on Productivity -- When you're depressed, your productivity is impacted -- that's just a fact of life. But some people will look at you and judge you harshly because your productivity has been hampered. Find out
how this feels and how to handle it (includes a video).
- Real Tough Men Cry Too -- This guest post by Conor Bezane takes a look at the pressures on men not to express their feelings.
- Pain May Not Get Better -- Don't Say 'It Gets Better' -- I was called out by a commenter for being too trite in saying, "It gets better." Read my response and the alternative I'm now going to focus on.
- Start Suicide Prevention Conversations and Forget the 'Rules' -- September is Suicide Prevention Month and this is a contribution to the conversation. If you're having trouble talking about suicide -- whether you're the one who's suicidal or you're worried about someone who might be -- this is
the piece for you.
- Fatigue and Bipolar Disorder -- Symptoms, Treatment -- I recently asked what the worst chronic illness symptom was and the overall winner was fatigue. I feel the same way. Fatigue tends to crush me every day. Read this piece for information on fatigue and how to treat it (includes a
video).
- I'm the Craziest Person in the World -- False -- So many people have thought that they're the "craziest person" because of how severe their mental illness is. Well, trust me, craziness is something everyone with bipolar disorder has faced.
- You Can't Deal with Bipolar Alone -- People need people; this is a truism that doesn't get any less true for those with bipolar disorder. It's important to learn that you need people in order to be successful with bipolar disorder.
- Mistakes Make Me Feel Suicidal -- Another post for Suicide Prevention Month, this post talks about the harsh reality of making mistakes when you're suicidal.

"It's important we know what suicide is and isn't. Many people think of suicide in pejorative terms, but, in fact, it should not be treated any differently than any other illness symptom. No one thinks losing your hair because of cancer is your fault. Suicidality isn't your fault either.
"However, while it's nothing to be ashamed of, getting help for it is your responsibility. The good news is that suicidality can get better with treatment of the underlying condition."
'Lost Marbles' Reviews
I'm pleased to say I now have 242 reviews/ratings between GoodReads and Amazon. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to write their thoughts. My book is rated about 4.5 stars out of 5!
"Natasha eloquently articulates what those of us with bipolar disorder experience on a day-to-day basis. The information is easy to digest and flows smoothly from point to point. I recommend "Lost Marbles" to anyone and everyone!"
If you've had a chance to read Lost Marbles, I would love it if you would leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads. Thanks, I appreciate it.
September's Final Words
A quick note of love goes out to Gabe Howard and Lisa Kiner for having me on their Not Crazy podcast. Look for the announcement of how you can listen to it very soon!
That's it for now folks; I'll catch up with you again in October. I know we're all tired of hearing it, but: wash your hands, wear a mask and stay home if you can. The pandemic is not over and, indeed, is getting worse in some places. We need to stay vigilant to stay well and protect everyone around us too.
Since it's Suicide Prevention Month, here's a suicide quote for you today:
“I believe almost dying teaches about life if we pay attention.”
